I was more impressed by the venue than the happenings of the day. When I arrived there was no music so I hung out while the gentlemen from the Art Manifesto played me some drums. When the music did start, Mr DJ was playing some RnB. You know the Eddie Zondi type.
Tru Jones saved the day. He totally killed it with some Afro beats, Funk and Dub like jams! I went crazy all alone while everyone stared at him or stood against walls.
I can never get that about the Joburg crowd. People hardly ever let loose unless if it's a night club. No one dances but they would rather group up in familiar circles and look at what everybody else is doing and who's who. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong. It's just something I've experienced. I can't do that! It's impossible! If the music is good, I will moonwalk right across the dance floor!
Anyway, the gig was cool, I left before it filled up. There were barely any people so I took a tour around the place and had a hippie moment to the sunset.
